Career Summary
I am an achievement oriented professional with broad experience in data,
voice and satellite networking, gained both in the military and private
sectors and in situations where security was paramount.
My major strengths include the ability to manage and deliver multiple tasks
assignments on time and effectively communicate across all levels of
management. I am highly motivated, a very strong team player and I am

Over the course of my career I have worked on many successful projects, both
as a team member and team leader (12+ people). I have had experience in many

support, help desk and desk-side support.

During my period of employment at the Long Bay Hospital Area 1 I have dealt
with all kinds of offenders male and female. I have dealt with offenders with
mental illness, minimum and maximum security offenders and offenders who are
at risk of self harm. I have also conducted escorts both internally and
externally. I have responded to emergency situations involving offenders and
have had to prepare reports on various incidents including occurrences of
death in custody. Part of my role includes dealing with the public in the
reception and processing of visitors of offenders.

Major responsibilities in this role:
• Responsible for the management of all hire equipment for Trilogy Pty Ltd
and their customers throughout Sydney NSW. Managing a stock value of $500K
and keeping track of incoming and outgoing stock.
• Project manager for Information Online Conference 2003 conducted at Sydney
Convention & Exhibition Center at Darling Harbour. Providing onsite
technical and help desk support for over 120 companies setting up of 256K
& 128K ISDN connections, wireless networking using 3Com Wireless components
(access points), Dialup accounts, email accounts, TCP/IP (Static & DHCP)
via their LAN/WAN network, providing hubs, switches, modems, PCMCIA and
network interface cards.
• Manager of 10 engineers and the liaison between management and engineering staff.
Primarily this role emphasizes the customer support link that we have as a
company towards the customer. Making sure that all needs are being met for
the customer as well as the engineer to satisfy all aspects.
• Other duties include installation and programming of CISCO routers,
networking of PC in a LAN/WAN and workgroup environment using TCP/IP and
DHCP. Managing installations at
various locations throughout New South Wales between clients and engineers.

Responsible for installation and programming of various CISCO routers 2600,
3600, SOHO, ADSL, DSL, switches, hubs, patch panels, FIREBIRD 6000-T and

connectors, RJ-5/11/45 connections and single-mode and multi-mode Fiber
(ST/SC) connectors. Provided 2nd level help desk/call center support to 250

Major responsibilities in this role:
• Implemented and installed first ever-Emergency 911 call monitoring system
in Taegu, Korea for the U.S. and Korean Air Force. These systems allowed
response teams to be monitored from command and control center, base-station,
and emergency vehicles.

C4I for the following exercises, Reception, Staging, Onward Movement, and
Integration (RSO&I), Ulchi-Focus Lens (UFL), Foal Eagle (FE) for various
U.S. and Republic of Korea military units.
• Information System Security Officer/Information System Analyst (ISSO/ISA),
and Information Maintenance Officer (IMO & ISSM) for Global Command and
Control Korea & Army (GCCS/GCCS-K/GCCS-A) for over 300 users throughout
Korea, for the U.S. & Republic of Korea Navy (ROKN) in Seoul, Chinhae,
Pyongtaek, Inchon, Tonghae, Pusan, Japan, CONUS. Also responsible for
managing and creating user account and password.
• Drafting and submitting Telecommunications Service Requests and Orders (TSR
and TSO) to Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).
• Establishing and maintaining 400 telephone connections Korea and
Pacific-wide via data, voice, ADSL and ISDN.
• Set up and implementation of protocol for disseminating message traffic in
accordance with security clearance.
• Coordinate and provide 2nd and 3 rd level support for 70 users.
• Coordinated Y2K readiness maintaining 100% availability of systems.
• Responsible for maintenance of secure LAN/WAN for 250+ existing users which
increases to 350+ during biannual exercises. This entailed set up of
login/user accounts in accordance with mission requirements together with
testing, installation and repair of cable of at remote sites as required.
• Microsoft Exchange Server 4.0 2nd/ 3rd level support for 80 users in-house
and 300 users externally.
• Training/supervisor to 12 personnel on security procedures, operation and
maintenance of LAN/WAN tactical and commercial satellite system maintaining
highest level of security.

Supervised and trained 12 personnel on proper telecommunications and circuit
discipline procedures in a LAN/WAN environment. Authored Standard Operating
Procedures (SOP’s). This role included writing performance evaluations of
personnel, scheduling and providing training for qualifications.
Major accomplishments:
• Procurement Officer responsible for a $1.2M annual account. This included
ordering of IT & communications equipment, computers, cabling, contract
work, refurbish & issuance of new office furniture, researching of vendor
maintenance costs, initiating contracts, and investigating vendors pricing
for authorization and purchasing. (supporting 200 staff members).
• System availability of communications circuits with 98.0% reliability &
activation per Defense Information Systems Agency, Washington, DC.
• Logged & implemented Service Requests (TSR&O) Orders for 30 LAN/WAN
circuit activations and terminations.

community involvement with American Red Cross, March of Dimes, Relief
